Congratulations to the Tan Thuan Wind Power Plant project (75MW) invested by Ca Mau Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company (CMC) for successfully installing the first turbine in a total of 18 turbines. It is known that all wind turbine equipment installed at Tan Thuan Wind Power with European standards, quality assurance and long-term performance is provided by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Company.
Tan Thuan Wind Power Plant Project (75MW) is built on the sea area of Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province, with two phases including: Phase 1 (25MW) and Phase 2 (50MW) by. Power Construction Consultant 2 Joint Stock Company (PECC2) as the EPC general contractor. At the project, Phan Vu Investment Joint Stock Company plays the role of contractor to supply and construct concrete piles, concrete works and complete wind turbine pillar foundations for a total of 18 pillars throughout the project. At the same time, Phan Vu is also a major shareholder of CMC with a total investment value of more than 150 million USD (accounting for 20% of capital).
Phan Vu implemented the construction of the first turbine foundation pile of the Tan Thuan Wind Power project on May 2, 2020. In the early stages of the project, despite the careful preparation of human resources and machinery, contractor Phan Vu faced many difficulties due to the constant fluctuations of weather factors, harsh working enviroment and the complexity of offshore pile construction methods. Overcoming the initial difficulties, by mid-May 2021, Phan Vu has completed 97% of the pile construction, 65% of the concrete work and completed the wind turbine foundation. Thereby, contributing to the EPC General Contractor to continue on the momentum of striving to bring the Tan Thuan Wind Power project to the scheduled operation and test schedule in July 2021.
The Tan Thuan Wind Power Plant Project is one of the important works in the chain of activities: The project to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of Phan Vu (1996 - 2021). Therefore, the Project Management Board has received special attention and close guidance from the Group's Board of Directors on quickly overcoming the limitations and well adapting to the harsh construction conditions on the sea to ensure quality and meet the schedule at Tan Thuan Wind Power project.
